A star. Produces heat and light by nuclear fusion. Half way through its 10 000 million year life
Large groups of stars. Our galaxy is called the Milky Way
It looks something like this. Andromeda 2.2 million light years away The nearest galaxy!

distance travelled by light in 1 year
